World Earth Day
World Earth Day
At Adicora, Earth Day isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s a reminder of why we do what we do. As a swimwear brand inspired by the ocean and built with sustainability in mind, we believe protecting our planet, especially our waters, is a responsibility we all share.
Why Earth Day Matters to Us
Every April 22nd, people around the world come together to reflect on the beauty of our planet—and the impact we have on it. For us, that means recognizing the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, the growing problem of ocean pollution, and how the fashion industry plays a role.
The fashion industry is one of the largest polluters in the world, and swimwear—often made with synthetic materials—can contribute to microplastic pollution if we’re not careful. That’s why we’ve made a commitment to do things differently.
Our Sustainable Swimwear Mission
At Adicora our swimwear is hand made by talented artisans in Valencia, Venezuela. Meaning our carbon waste is significantly lower than other brands that mass produce their clothing. As well as keeping our carbon emissions low, we take it a step further by ensuring that we do not add any textile waste to our planet's landfills. We turn our left-over fabrics into fashionable swim scrunchies that match our swimwear! Making them available to our customers and donating a portion of the proceeds to different charities around the world.
Want to join us in honoring Earth Day? Here are a few easy ways to show the planet some love:
- Choose sustainable fashion – Support brands that prioritize the environment.
- Say no to fast fashion – Invest in quality pieces that last.
- Participate in a beach cleanup – Gather your crew and give your local shoreline a refresh.
- Educate yourself and others – Share what you learn about ocean conservation and climate action.
- Recycle and repurpose – Keep plastic and clothing out of landfills by reusing and donating.
This Earth Day, let’s celebrate the beauty of the planet we get to explore, swim in, and live on. Every choice we make—every bikini, one-piece, or scrunchie —can be a step toward a cleaner, kinder future.
